Product Description

The discharge counter is mainly composed of a signal - input circuit, a discharge - counting circuit, and a protection circuit. When the lightning arrester operates, the counter accumulatively records the number of discharges. After reaching the full scale, it automatically resets to zero and works in a cyclic counting mode. The performance of the JS - 8 type discharge counter complies with JB2440 - 91 "Discharge Counter for Lightning Arrester".

First, use a wire L with a diameter greater than 2.5mm to firmly short - circuit the two ends (upper flange and lower flange) of the lightning arrester base D. First connect the lower flange of the base, and then connect the upper flange of the base, so that the lower end of the lightning arrester MOA is reliably grounded, as shown in Figure (a).

 

Firmly install the discharge counter JS - 8 between the upper and lower flanges of the lightning arrester base, as shown in Figure (b). First, connect the flange of the discharge counter JS - 8 as the grounding end to the lower flange of the lightning arrester base, and then connect the high - voltage outlet terminal of the discharge counter JS - 8 to the upper flange of the base of the lightning arrester MOA.

 

Remove the short - wire L between the two ends (upper and lower halves) of the lightning arrester base D, so that the discharge counter JS - 8 is connected in series between the lightning arrester MOA and the ground, as shown in Figure (c).

 

During installation, the pulling force of the lead wire from the high - voltage outlet terminal of the monitor should not exceed 100 Newtons.
